Describe the bug

The dropdown arrows inside of a <mat-select> form field are not vertically centered.

What is the expected behavior?

Dropdown arrows should be vertically centered; should be nice and clean.

What are the steps to reproduce?

  1. Go to the showcase app, here.
  2. Observe the select dropdown arrows not being centered.
