General

  • The setting is futuristic, sci-fi
  • The stages should feature cities of the future
  • The main character is Zero - the mascot of the Zig programming language
  • The enemies are different bug types (robot bugs?)

The game should feature as little violence as possible. There will be no shooting. So enemies and obstacles have to be avoided. Zero will have a jetpack that he can use to hover at a fixed height. Jetpack fuel is limited for 3s but can be recharged while on the ground.

Title Screen

  • Show the text "Zero Man" in big letters Mega Man style
  • New Game or Continue option

Main Quest

  • Beat the three robot masters in arbitrary order
  • There's a selection screen with portraits of the robot masters
  • There are checkpoints in the stages where progress is saved
  • Infinite lives

  • Crab Man
  • The beach

  • V Man
  • Hype City
