Instead of accessing getListRef() here, why not do

if (this._wrapperListRef) {
  this._wrapperListRef.setNativeProps(props);
}

It will not work if legacyImplementation prop is true, because VirtualizedSectionList doesn't have setNativeProps.

Should I add setNativeProps method to VirtualizedSectionList?
