I think
createdCallbackworked with the webcomponents polyfill, but not with the actual browser? Or maybe the spec/behavior changed in some subtle way. Anyway,attachedCallbackseems to work in Chrome butcreatedCallbackdoes not work anymore, so we should update the docs.
