When using the original Atom Tree View package, you could press Cmd+Shift+P and see options to Delete/Rename files.

Nuclide's version doesn't have those and is a serious productivity killer.

These commands actually exist but they only show up when the file tree has focus. Coupled with the pending pane items feature (where clicking once on a file opens a temporary editor), the file tree doesn't have focus very much.

You could put up a PR to make these commands available no matter what has focus. It would just entail moving them up to where the commands are registered for atom-workspace: https://github.com/facebook/nuclide/blob/master/pkg/nuclide-file-tree/lib/FileTreeController.js#L142
