Summary: as stated. almost everything in testing/ dir using relative paths. lets move em to absolute. also, after adding pcapwriter, we have now two version of PcapStructs.h. lets use the one from katran/lib and remove redundant one making this a sep PR as requested in #41 Pull Request resolved: #42 Pulled By: udippant Test Plan: Imported from GitHub, without a `Test Plan:` line. This is a bit confusing.
From line:145 sizeof(ethhdr) is accounted for in the buf (of length kTestPacketSize).
Here, you re-append to the IOBUF the sizeof(ethhdr) + you add L3 and L4 header length. And you do not update l3_len here.

It's a good idea to call coalesce() here given the usage with offset math within new few methods to create packets. I do not think IOBuf's create / append guarantee contiguous space.

create seems create buffer as a single entity. the only difference is where metadata (IOBuf itself, not the buffere where it is going to point) is going to be locate (colocated w/ buffer or not)
adding ability to run simulation against loaded katran's bpf program this new call would allow to answer the question "where this specific flow is going to be sent (which real)". could be realy useful for debuging (when you have lots of reals, and specific 5 tuple does not work - you would know exactly which real are suppose to receive it (and therfor would be able to narrow down scope for debugging))

…acebookincubator#41) Summary: i've added an ability to run simulation for specified 5 tuple: user would be able to provide 5 tuple (src/dst address + src/dst ports + protocol number) and would receive address of the real, where this 5 tuple is going to be sent. this could be used for debug/troubleshooting scenarios (e.g. some flows works slow/does not work at all and we want to figure out which real is responsible for serving em). all this simulation is being run against loaded BPF program (so if you have features, like src based routing enable, it would work for em out of box)) added dedicated section to katran_tester which implements integration tests against this new freature Pull Request resolved: facebookincubator#41 Pulled By: udippant Test Plan: Imported from GitHub, without a `Test Plan:` line. Summary: After diving in all the build system I found that the first error mentioned in #219 and #220 ``` 1597 | static_assert(formattable_char, "Mixing character types is disallowed."); ``` Was basically happening while compiling folly, after compiling it by itself I noticed this didn't happened, so I found that there was an issue with the fmt dependencies, removing the one that was downloaded by katran The issue mentioned in: #221 Was because katran was configured to use C++14 by default, and some of the libraries of folly require C++17, updated our requirements. i've added an ability to run simulation for specified 5 tuple: user would be able to provide 5 tuple (src/dst address + src/dst ports + protocol number) and would receive address of the real, where this 5 tuple is going to be sent. this could be used for debug/troubleshooting scenarios (e.g. some flows works slow/does not work at all and we want to figure out which real is responsible for serving em). all this simulation is being run against loaded BPF program (so if you have features, like src based routing enable, it would work for em out of box))
added dedicated section to katran_tester which implements integration tests against this new freature
