[google_sign_in] Update iOS SDK to 8.0

Updates the SDK version from 7.1 to 8.0, to pick up Firebase App Check support.

The breaking change in the SDK is because it dropped iOS 11 support, which this plugin already didn't support.

It was published to pub.dev immediately. You've linked to google_sign_in; the change was to google_sign_in_ios, which is a separate package due to the federated structure.

Is there anything else that needs to be done to enable app check for iOS Google Sign In other than add the package at version 5.9.0?

I have app check working for my app:

But it doesn't seem to be working for the iOS client after updating to the new google_sign_in_ios package. My iOS OAuth client is still reporting the request as unverified:

According to the SDK docs it requires configuration at app launch.

@azizirac No, not yet. I've been dealing with dependency issues when importing GoogleSignIn directly in Swift.

@kurtmarcink I was finally able to make it work. My changes have been

1. in Podfile add the following pod 'GoogleSignIn'
2. in In your app delegate's didFinishLaunchingWithOptions method add GIDSignIn.sharedInstance.configure

@azizirac I was able to get it working as well. For the record, my dependency collision was due to having googlesignin-ios via SPM. I guess I had added that dependency at some point.
