nvim version - v0.8.0-dev-1020-gea10e0c10
with cmdheight = 0

when you select a group this is what you see -

also this only happens when the terminal is not maximized

Probably worth mentioning that there are bugs with cmdheight=0 which I've raised upstream and there is a pending fix for it neovim/neovim#19816 (comment)

@akinsho yeah, looks like an upstream bug for sure, but using mode instead of redraw when cmdheight=0 works around it for now... :)
