Before you dive into the notes, please make sure you have read the following:

In Attendance

Agenda

  • Walk-through of design work from the previous two weeks.
  • Get volunteers for front-end implementation for the next two weeks

Design Review

  • Ayotomide screenshared his Figma designs based on each user role and user story
  • Anyone can / should login to Figma to leave comments on Ayotomide's workflows by clicking the links above and using the "Comment" icon in the top-left corner to drop a comment. Click on an existing comment to add a reply
  • A question was raised on if the organizer can create new chapters. Based on prior conversations on Github about the admin role, we agreed for MVP that only the admin can create / approve a chapter.
  • Post-MVP we might add the ability to request a new chapter. Or, the admin may be able to provide permission for an organizer to create new chapters. Again, any of this would be post-MVP.
  • Quincy asked for volunteers to create a set of plain HTML pages with the controllers and views. Fran Zeko, Vaibhav Singh, Timmy Chen, and Bakhtiiar Muzakparov volunteered to work on this step and build out these pages in parallel.
  • Quincy acknowledging the counter-intuitiveness of having multiple people do the same work, but his experience suggests this is important on volunteer projects so each person empathizes with the process and in case someone can't fulfill their commitment.
  • Sarrita asked if Docker would be the appropriate tool at scale. Quincy suggested creating an issue on Github for that conversation. After the meeting, Jim linked to the earlier Docker / one-click hosting conversation.
