I am trying to get Galacticus up and running as simply as possible :)
I have downloaded the Galacticus precompiled library and I have tried running it with the parameters.xml file from the source repository (Do I need other files from the repository?)
it seems that Galacticus crashes after less than a minute when run due to missing dependencies, which is why I tried running the install script.

You'll need to download the full repository before running the precompiled binary. Just set the GALACTICUS_ROOT_V094 environment variable to the path where you install the source repo - the precompiled binary needs to find several files at that path at runtime.
The link to the install script is fixed now - thanks for reporting this!

The link to the newest installation script on:
https://sites.google.com/site/galacticusmodel/downloads/installtion-scripts
is dead however.
The link is:
http://users.obs.carnegiescience.edu/abenson/galacticus/tools/galacticusInstall_v0.9.4.sh
But this gives Not Found error page.
The previous installation scripts are still present.
