ros_open_ear ============ This package is a modified version of openEAR that launches a ROS node and publishes its emotion identification results on ROS topics (emo_pub and affect_pub) when running the itf_open_ear package. Prerequisites ------------- sudo apt-get install libc6-dev build-essential Installation ------------ ./autogen.sh ./autogen.sh (yes, twice) ./configure make sudo make install Usage ----- Usage depends on the itf_open_ear package, this package will not run or work by itself. The toolkit is developed at the Institute for Human-Machine Communication at the Technische Universitaet Muenchen in Munich, Germany. It was started withtin the SEMAINE EU FP7 research project. The following main components are currently available in openEAR: * SMILExtract - Standalone commandline feature extractor and live recogniser (source code in src/) * config/ - Various example configuration files * models/ - Pre-trained emotion recognition models * doc/ - Introductory tutorial and developer's documentation Third-party dependencies: ========================= openSMILE uses LibSVM (by Chih-Chung Chang and Chih-Jen Lin) for classification tasks. It is included in the svm/ directory in the release. PortAudio is required for live recording from sound card and for the SEMAINE component. You can get it from: http://www.portaudio.com More optional third-party dependencies include the Julius LVCSR engine and Alex Graves' RNNLIB.
