Evohome Wireless Message Format

This wiki describes the format of the messages transmitted by devices in the Evohome system.

It does not describe the content or meaning of the messages, only the bitstream used to transmit them.

For messsage content and usage see The Evohome Protocol wiki

Method of transmission

The messages are transmitted as a bitstream between devices using 868MHz radios.

The bitstream is the output of an 8N1 serial UART at 38400 baud. i.e. each 8 bits of message data are transmitted prefixed by a START bit and followed by a STOP bit.

The data bits are transmitted least significant bit first (LSB).
