Sample of 200 Open articles about dermatitis and essential oils, to explore whether "activit" is sufficiently formalised in papers to allow systematic extraction.

A preliminary search on EuropePMC (cut at 200) created a directory (https://github.com/gilienv/EssOilDB/tree/master/activity/skin ). ami-search was run with disease, country, species, funder to give the data table: https://github.com/gilienv/EssOilDB/blob/master/activity/skin/full.dataTables.html (best browsed locally).

The XML files are converted to HTML and can be sectioned later. PDFs are also available.

I have manually skimmed through 10 articles (ignoring those not about essential oils). Here's my summary.

review means the article was a review.

Most of the articles are relevent to acne but not to EssoilDB. (Other articles do indeed contain profiles).

So I will build a new repo for @mannyrules and me to pursue this.
