Hello πŸ‘‹

I'm Guillaume, french developer from Lille, France.

It was around my 10th birthday (in the 90s 😁) I enjoyed typing my first lines of code on an Atari ST in GFA Basic. I subscribed to ST Magazine which talked in particular about programming, with code examples (GFA Punch) in order to learn language and techniques. I created various softwares for personal use.

I got my first PC with Windows 95, and I started using Visual Basic 4, then versions 5 & 6. Here again, I created personal software (a CD player with integrated karaoke and customizable skin, a multimedia file reader, and a Powerpoint / Scala style software).

It was upon entering university that I plunged into the professional world with Java, Cobol and Assembler as my first languages. What followed was a 18 years professional career in back-end and front-end development (C#, Perl, PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, API, etc.), during which I was able to express my technical, operational and managerial skills.

πŸ‘· My professional experience has allowed me to work on different projects, with various technologies and scales. Consult them here

πŸ… My first and only website still online developed by myself (first year of university): http://clandestomates.free.fr/

✈️ Some countries I visited: United States (California), Peru, Bolivia, Laos, Cambodia, Spain

πŸ“» I'm the proud owner of Radio of Magic, a web radio (fully online) that broadcasts music from Disneyland Paris, for free (🎧 Listen here). For the moment, it is hosted at RadioKing but my goal is to self-host it with WebCaster (see below ⬇️).

I am currently developing WebCastr, an open-source webradio management suite based on Liquidsoap and Icecast, written in .Net Core / C#. Feel free to check it out (develop branch) πŸ˜….

I am working on this project for a personal need and to develop my knowledge in C#, but I will make it available to everyone ✌️
