In general the DESCRIPTION file of the tarball should be in sync as much as possible with the meta data provided in Octave packages, to avoid surprises with the users after installation.

For example the dependent Octave version might be upgraded in your repository. It states Octave 3.8.0, but here you write 5.0.0. I know Octave 3.8.0 is ancient and I have no possibility to test whether it would still work.
