If your code is locked to a specific version of
github.com/golang/protobuf(e.g., 1.2.0), the default suggestion ofgo get -u github.com/golang/protobuf/protoc-gen-gomay end up building and installing an incompatible version ofprotoc-gen-go(e.g., as introduced by https://github.com/golang/protobuf/blame/8d0c54c1/proto/proto3_proto/proto3.pb.go#L23).Provides a workaround for #738.
