Opening last result or code snippet in external editor. #14862

What would you like to be added?

It would be nice to be able to open last result or code snippet (result of /copy command) in external editor. For example by saving it to a temporary file. Such command could be /view or it could also work similarly to Ctrl + X.

Why is this needed?

Sometimes I only need to copy part of the response and /copy doesn't allow it. It is also hard to copy just part of result from terminal, especially when line numbers are turned on. Unfortunately, custom commands do not provide the possibility to only run shell commands without prompting, and even if they did, we do not have access to history.
