Summary

Colors the success message for gemini extensions link green in the debug console.

Details

Uses chalk.green() to explicitly set the color of the "linked successfully" message. Previously, this was appearing in red (the default error color) because it was logged via debugLogger.log() without explicit coloring.

Summary of Changes

This pull request addresses a minor but important user experience issue within the CLI. It ensures that the success message displayed after linking an extension is correctly presented in green, rather than the default red error color. This change improves the visual feedback for users, making it clear when an operation has completed successfully.

Highlights

  • Color Correction: The success message for the gemini extensions link command is now explicitly colored green.
  • Dependency Addition: The chalk library has been imported to enable terminal text styling.
  • Improved User Experience: The previously red success message, which was misleading, now correctly appears in green, enhancing clarity for users.
Changelog
  • packages/cli/src/commands/extensions/link.ts
    • Imported the chalk library to facilitate terminal text coloring.
    • Wrapped the success message string with chalk.green() to apply green coloring to the output.
Activity
  • The pull request title fix(cli): color extension link success message green clearly indicates the intent.
  • The author, MushuEE, provided a detailed summary, explanation of changes, and validation steps.
  • A screenshot was included in the PR description to visually demonstrate the change.
  • The pre-merge checklist indicates that validation has been performed on Linux.

Code Review

This pull request correctly addresses the issue of the extension link success message appearing in the wrong color. By using chalk.green(), the message is now explicitly colored green, improving the user experience in the debug console. I have one suggestion regarding dependency management to ensure long-term stability.
