Notes from 2025-02-15

Per Dorian's ticket, we wanted to make sure that we are not increasing the scope, this was identifying an excellence level bug, and we are better off moving this work to Efren's ticket (#1921) so that it may be prioritized for later.

Notes on Saved Reply

  • We recommend that volunteers save the "update" blurb so that they may save time in their responses

Notes on PR Template

  • Website team's pull_request_template.md
    • We need Before and After images on the issue so that it can be put into the Release Notes
      • TODO add to template:
        • modify "Screenshot after proposed changes" to "Screenshot from Figma"
        • add section "Screenshot from localhost" to indicate that this the dev's completed work
    • TDM stakeholder communication
      • Follow Up
      • Are we going to do XYZ?
      • Design Review
      • Updates to Review & Release (things on Dev and we want to release)
        • we show them before / after
        • sometimes show this on the app right in the call
        • ask "are we ok to sign off on this"?

Note on Knowledge Transfers

  • if you NEED to leave the team and you don't have time to walk through with a knowledge transfer, you can always record your knowledge and attach it to the ticket

Per Loading Modal conversation

  • create a "p-feature: loading modal" feature for Efren's ticket

Notes on PRs

  • every member should be involved with PRs. Only one reviewer needed per PR.
    • once PR was reviewed by member, lead can be requested afterwards
  • Leads will provide the final PR, hopefully at that point there will only be minor changes
  • We can turn on PR notifications for members to participate, but perhaps it should be tuned to appear every X days (depending on dev availability)

  • when leaving comments and reviews, the PR author needs be resolving those previous comments when the
