Hello! I'm interested in trying out the Hurricane Analysis and Forecast System (HAFS) since I learned that the HAFS is an upgrade to the Hurricane WRF (HWRF). I currently have a laptop with a Linux Mint OS.
But I also learned that HAFS only runs on supercomputing platforms (wcoss_dell_p3, wcoss_cray, hera, jet, orion). I wonder if the HAFS can be installed and run on a laptop with Linux, Ubuntu or similar OS? If not, I would like to inquire if the developers have considered making a version of HAFS for Linux in desktop/personal computers (I hope there is).
Thank you very much!
