Depending on the direction, this will generate surfaces with incorrect orientation. Since all currently supported cases work the same, meaning incorrectly oriented surfaces are only generated for cases that weren't possible before, I'm fine with this. I'll open an issue to track it.

Please note that using the new capabilities can lead to invalid face orientation, as per the commit message. I'm going to open an issue for that, after this pull request is merged.
