`Sketch` has been updated to make this mistake impossible.
Having `UpdateSketch::add_polygon` instead is more flexible, providing an API to add new regions to the sketch.

Mostly regarding the construction of
Sketches, but there are also some other improvements in there. All of this is preparation for restoring the spacer model, the next step in #1868.
