Turned out it's easy to fix the slow
runGetIncrementalproblem: just provide an initial chunk, so that a small getter will returnDonequickly. ThenoMeansNoand extraDecoderstill eat some time, but now the overhead is much smaller (100ns -> 15ns on my machine).
