Last week I talked with the Artemis plugin team and heard @andytaylor is planning to use the JMX plugin only for the Jolokia connection without using the loaded JMX tree/workspace. The plugin won't provide its own custom tree view, and instead will invoke a custom MBean operation on the Artemis broker to fetch queues on demand. It is to support a massive number of queues to be loaded with Hawtio: https://issues.redhat.com/browse/HAWNG-4.

We should support such usages with Connect and JMX plugins so that a custom plugin like the Artemis' could handle such a use case as handling a large number of MBeans within the plugin.
