Goals

Notification service:

1. Setup client for HN API.

2. Poll or consume events for story upvotes.

• Also do for # comments.

3. Notify subscribers if threshold is met.

Issues

X 1) Items are not removed from the cache. Cache will constantly grow. 1.5) Cache is not persistent upon restart (cache is in-memory) 2) First run in a long time will result in a large number of notification -- might want to roll them up. 3) User needs to be able to configure score and age threshold. (CLI?)

Subscriber CRUD:

(create) Submit new subscription request:

• email/push notif endpoints
• treshold for headline upvotes & # comments
• ex: if upvotes > 100 -> send notif
• (db) or (Lambda?)
