These changes make the library compile with the newer purescript, including replacing Eff with Effect, the changes to Generic, and replacing StrMap with Foreign.Object.
I have yet to test the actual runtime behavior of the code, and I am by no means a purescript expert. However, I thought you might be interested in my progress and might want to merge it in once it is tested more thoroughly. Let me know!
