Currency converion public api's

These api's below can be used to get a real time conversion rate

We are using Open Exchange Rate, so make sure you put the appId for openexchangerate in the .env file

Does this need cronjob ?

  • Yes , the exchage_rates table must have valid data, at least run this once so before registering users
  • cronjob url [projectroot]/api/cronjob/update-exchange-rates , run this every hour to get the latest rates

.env file configuration

  • Please make sure APP_URL has a valid value it should be something like [yourdomain/if_subfolder] with no trailing slash
  • The api path is determined by APP_URL, if it is incorrect, your frontend will not be able to connect with your backend
  • More .env settings will be found in this section: Does this allow subfolder ?

Does this allow subfolder ?

Yes, it does run on a subfolder in .env file if there is no subfolder , make sure the variables are like this

BASENAME="/"
MIX_ASSET_URL="/public"

if you have subfolder the variables should be like:

BASENAME="/[path/to/subfolder]"
MIX_ASSET_URL="/[path/to/subfolder]/public"
