@thisistz Thank you for highlighting this important translation consistency concern. 🎯 Understanding the Translation Conflict IssueI understand that the existing translated content in the Hugging Face course (like PR #477) follows an EN → Simplified Chinese → Traditional Chinese workflow, which has resulted in many technical terms and proper nouns that don't align with Taiwan usage. My approach will be direct EN → Traditional Chinese translation to ensure proper Taiwan localization. 🔄 Translation Workflow ComparisonThe fundamental difference between these two approaches creates distinct outcomes: Existing Workflow (EN → Simplified → Traditional):
My Proposed Workflow (Direct EN → Traditional):
📊 Key Terminology Differences
🎯 My ApproachTo ensure consistency while providing Taiwan-appropriate translations:
This approach ensures that new translations will be genuinely localized for Taiwan while maintaining professional quality and consistency with Taiwan usage standards. Would you like me to provide specific examples of how I would handle particular terminology conflicts in the course content?

I translated this chapter myself from English to traditional Chinese, there is no such issue of using simplified Chinese. |
Remove obsolete chapter reference to maintain current documentation structure. This chapter was relocated to a different section.
- Replace "帳戶" with "帳號" following Taiwan usage conventions - Optimize sentence structures for natural Chinese reading flow - Simplify technical descriptions (e.g., "獨立的目錄結構" instead of "自包含的目錄樹") - Maintain consistency with established Taiwan technical terminology glossary - Preserve clear structure and professional tone from original translation This ensures the Chapter 0 introduction follows Taiwan localization standards while maintaining translation quality and readability.

Hi @thisistz, thank you for taking the time to review my translation and provide detailed feedback. After careful consideration of your comments and reviewing the project's terminology standards, I believe the best path forward is to close this PR. This will allow us to maintain consistency across the translation project and avoid potential conflicts in terminology choices. I'll focus my contributions on translating other chapters where I can add value while adhering to the established conventions. I remain committed to helping improve the project and will ensure future contributions align with the team's standards. Thank you again for your thorough review. Looking forward to collaborating on other parts of the project! |
