Supported PHP Version Discussion #568
-
As PHP 8.1 is starting to become more widespread, and Hyde's dependencies are increasingly adopt it, it's only a matter of time before we need to drop support for PHP 8.0. The very latest we can do this is in February next year when Laravel 10 (or as I like to call it, Laravel X) is released, which drops support for PHP 8.0. As will we have to. Since changing the minimum PHP version will be a breaking change, and Hyde 1.0 is due to be released relatively soon, we may have to think about dropping support for 8.0. I'd love to get some community feedback on this. What PHP versions are you using, and do you think it makes sense for HydePHP to keep on supporting 8.0? |

I think it could be useful to start experimenting with PHP 8.1 for v1.0. I do love enums... |
