OS X has a Graphite appearance setting,for buttons, menus and windows, that can be toggled in System Preferences > Desktop > Appearance.
Many users, especially designers and developers, use this setting to lower the contrast between UI elements and the content of their work, so as not to distract.
This pull request adds support for a setting to match the look of the sidebar of this theme to the Graphite appearance, better integrating it with rest of the OS X's UI:
