When will this issue be fixed on python 3.9?

Who uses Python 3.7 now?! I have several versions of Python on my system but the oldest is 3.10. Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (now over 2 years old) uses 3.10. Most users would have to make a special effort to set up a 3.7 environment so this bug is a real pain
