export open-bpmn to .xml

Has any open-bpmn user exported your model to .XML ?

a BPMN File is always XML. So no export is needed. You can open the file with any XML Editor or parse it with any XML Parser.
What exactly is the background to your question?

Thank you. My earlier BPMN modeling of distributed cognitive systems in healthcare was in Visio, which did not save to .XML. Our team is developing automatic translation from xml BPMN to Promela for model-checking healthcare workflows with SPIN.

OK, so there is no issue if you work with Open-BPMN. All models are pure XML files and can transformed in any other format using automatic translation or transformation.
