A gem replacement for mkpasswd
command on systems where there is no such command.
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'mkpasswd'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install mkpasswd
Use it as usual mkpasswd command.
Example:
mkpasswd -m sha-512 -S saltandspecies password
Reading password from files currently not implemented. Contributions are welcome!

. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
