Putting on hold for a little while, it will be easier to test the more interesting aspects if I can find a second monitor to play with. |

Just noting that while this seems to work, it will hang when a monitor is powered down (e.g. due to idleness), as all outputs can be removed. I introduced a hacky solution for me here flaviozavan@342b458, hoping this is helpful as a starting point when efforts are resumed here |
