Game freezes

Not sure if this goes here or not....if not, I apologize.

I was playing a game as Lal. When Thinker 4.3 became available, I upgraded to it and continued the game. After several hours of play, the game suddenly froze. I repeated this several times with the same result. Wondering if 4.3 factored in, I fell back to 4.0 and had the exact same problem at the exact same place. The year was 2297. And my base was Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Planetary Pack from GoG.

I saved the game. Don't know how to upload it here or if I should. I remember in the past I had some freezes, but not for a long time. Also don't remember if the freezes of the past were with Thinker or with the base game.

Not really sure what to do other than to play new games and hope they don't freeze (which is not very encouraging)....

Probably would have to post the savegame unless you can find detailed steps on how to reproduce that issue on a new game. Otherwise we can't tell what part of the game engine might be hanging there.

Now that I looked at the save and tried advancing the turn a couple of times and no freezes occurred, so not sure what's going on there. Is there anything else in other mods or system configuration that might trigger this? Also have you tried reinstalling the game and using the default configuration?

I ran the game using terranx.exe from a fresh install.
It has not crashed yet (I stopped playing after 6-8 turns because the game just is not near as much fun w/o Thinker...lol).

Well, looks like it is not possible to replicate the issue given only the savegame. So would need more details on how to accomplish that to be able to debug the game. If anyone else has encountered similar issues, would be interesting to know here.
