This change seems to cause errors for me with:

error: input 'haskellNix/nixpkgs' follows a non-existent input 'nixpkgs-unstable'

Adding nixpkgs-unstable to my flake seems to fix the problem though I'm not sure if this is the intended way to do it

@alexarice This is not a haskell.nix error, it is due to a bug in Nix 2.6: NixOS/nix#6013 (already fixed in master, will hopefully be included in 2.7).

Thanks for the quick reply, do you know if there's a workaround in the meantime, my suggested workaround seems to cause a lot of mass rebuilds

I just stay on Nix 2.5.1 for the time being. A workaround would be to pin your top-level nixpkgs-unstable to the commit used by haskell.nix.
