I would like to propose that a notification be displayed automatically on startup of VS Code versions later than 1.37.1 to inform users about the issues introduced into VS Code by microsoft/vscode#166126 - perhaps by providing a link to #156 (and to remind users not to enable monkey-patch with customize-ui in these versions).

Edit: perhaps also mentioning the workaround here by @NuckChorris: #156 (comment)

Some progress seems to be made with monkey-patch:

I have switched to VSCodium 1.74+ (now I'm using VSCodium 1.76.1), where a modified version of MonkeyPatch works (with Custom UI!). ☞ VSCodium/vscodium#1390 (comment)
I have migrated most of my VS Code profile settings to VSCodium with ease. (tell me to post an English version of migration if needed)

MonkeyPatch + CustomUI is essential! Please keep it guys~
