We can express and extract provenance information from native schema.org properties, which would mean we don't need to add another context and can keep things simple. However, as there's no official schema.org:PROV mapping, we should express ours.

An SSSOM file to start, but more advanced logics will be need to express that mapping some schema.org properties to PROV-O classes requires the former to be associated with certain schema:Types.

For metadata about JSON-LD files containing metadata about a resource (metadata about metadata, including the provenance about the first round of metadata), this discussion may be useful Cross-Domain-Interoperability-Framework/Discovery#13 (comment)
