GUI & In Web Browsers Weekly Sync 2018-11-05 #127

Where can I find a link to join this call? The meeting invite says to look in IRC, which I'm not on. |
Apologies if these are naive questions, but is having IRC necessary to find
the call useful in general? Could a Slack channel replace the way IRC is
used right now, so folks who don't otherwise use IRC don't need to join it
to get the link?

We usually post the link in IRC a minute or two before the call begins.
I suspect the link is not set in stone because sometimes @olizilla
<https://github.com/olizilla> hosts the call and sometimes @lidel
<https://github.com/lidel> does.

No, it's not useful at all. We should start doing like the JS Core Dev team and put the link here as soon as possible so people can hop in the call.
Not really, we want to make the calls public and accessible to everyone. To join the PL Slack you must be invited, as opposed to IRC that you're free to register, so the best way to go really is to drop the link in the issue! |
ah, we were so close.. never a dull day 🙃
Question: how do we solve this?
|
It's totally fine to do the next one without me. I don't want you all
staying late.

- Bad news: *entire GUI WG has a scheduling conflict on 7th*: we are
unable to move the other meeting as it is with an external organization.
- Good news: it is one-time thing.
Question: how do we solve this?
- Make the sync on Monday 5th @ 9:30 UTC (*reuse old time* for one
more week)
- downside: @terichadbourne <https://github.com/terichadbourne>
won't be able to attend
- *Move the sync +1h* to 5PM UTC
- downside: we may be drained after 2h workshop
