Heads up: nest-asyncio is no longer actively maintained #1381

Unfortunately, Ewald de Wit, the maintainer of nest-asyncio, passed away in March 2024. The project is now archived on GitHub.

It should still work as before—only one test is currently failing with Python 3.14 alpha 6: test_timeout.

Since it's a dependency here, I thought I'd let you know. The project may eventually need new maintainers.

Thanks for the heads up, and sorry to hear that.
I think we should not use nest-asyncio anymore.

If that would be possible, having less dependencies is always better.
