Hi All,

I'm desperate to find a working way to route audio from Supercollider https://supercollider.github.io/

to my DAW Ableton 10.

On Windows 10, Jack 2 64 bit crashes Supercollider if you choose it as your audio driver. I have heard that the 32bit Supercollider works with Jack 2, but this is not an option for me because Ableton has discontinued its 32 bit Live and that is the DAW I need to stream into.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried Jack2 v1.9.10 & v1.9.11 in 64-bit Windows10 a few days ago and also connected SuperCollider and Ableton Live use Jack2 portaudio option. It works without problems. What specific version of SC and Jack2 are you using?
Also in Windows you'd better use ASIO4ALL or other similar ASIO drivers.

Oops I found my SC version is 3.8.0 32bit because that's the only version with installer supporting supernova right now. I haven't tried 64bit SC, maybe there's indeed some differences between 32bit and 64bit, but there're indeed several changes from 3.8 to 3.9. And I'm not able to test 3.9 64bit on my laptop, sorry about that.

but why using 32bit Jack2 for 64bit applications? 64bit Jack2 can handle both 32 and 64bit just fine, though I'm not sure what's the problem with 64bit SC.

I hope it get fixed soon. There's no working alternative to connect SC (64x) to Ableton Live (64x) on Win10 64x. Strangely enough it works on Win7 64x.

@kmatheussen no. It perfectly works on Win7 64bit with Jack 64bit and Supercollider 64bit. The problem is on Win 10 64bit only.

I'm sure the problem is not jack. JackRouter works great as a 64bit in Win7 including SuperCollider. And it works even on Win10 with several apps except SuperCollider. I was reporting here asking for some idea. Maybe the jack community can have some idea that i can report back to SuperCollider community.

And as you can see here https://youtu.be/6H63KxfT4NY jack 64bit works perfectly on win10 on several apps. It's just the combo Supercollider/Jack/Win10 64 bit that does not work.
