[Bug]: crashes after file is uploaded. cannot run any data tests. #3246

Bug Description

As soon as I load a file in to run the necessary tests it crashes. It does not let me perform any tests.

Expected Behaviour

I should be able to upload the file and run the necessary tests.

This is going to sound horrible but I am using this program for school, I follow the guides the instructor gives us. I do not know how to do what you are asking.

but your screenshot shows a successfully loaded file and on my machine those files also load fine.

@MSopher Yeah, the engine indeed crashed, but can you upload logs please? otherwise we cannot know what happend.

In addition you can get us system info via:

Also it would be good to know how you installed jasp. There are 3 methods:

If the crashes persist you could try:

  • one of the other install methods.
  • update your Operating system fully and restart the machine (especially important are up to date graphics drivers if you run intel graphics)
  • run JASP with safe graphics mode:

    If JASP crashes before you can get to that window you can activate safe-graphics via starting a command prompt: Type "command prompt" in the Start menu & then type "c:\Program Files (x86)\JASP\JASP.exe --safeGraphics" and see if JASP is more stable this way.
