Identifying narrow yet sinuous polygons

Hi,
I have read in the documentation that LinearityIndex is not useful for identifying narrow yet sinuous polygons.
And that ElongationRatio is not an adequate measure of overall polygon narrowness, because a highly sinuous but narrow polygon will have a low linearity (elongation) owing to the compact nature of these polygon.

Is there another algorithm that I can use to identify also narrow sinuous polygons?

Hi @aborruso,

For raster polygons, at least, NarrownessIndex is likely the tool you are looking for if you would like to identify narrow yet sinuous objects. Unfortunately, there isn't an equivalent tool for vector polygons and so some vector-to-raster conversion may be necessary depending on your application if you have vector polygons.
