Installing

From github: python -m pip install --upgrade git+https://git@github.com/jbylund/dynamodictionary.git

From pypi: python -m pip install --upgrade dynamodictionary

Example Use

This package provides a dictionary like interface for interacting with dynamodb tables, example:

In [1]: import dynamodict

In [2]: mytable = dynamodict.DynamoDictionary("footable")

In [3]: mytable['monty'] = 'python'

In [4]: print(mytable['monty'])
python

In [5]: mytable['cheeses'] = ['applewood', 'brie', 'cheddar', 'duddleswell']

In [6]: print(mytable['cheeses'])
['applewood', 'brie', 'cheddar', 'duddleswell']

In [7]: for key in footable:
   ...:     print(key)
   ...:
cheeses
monty

In [8]: print('cheeses' in footable)
True

In [9]: print('watery tart' in footable)
False

In [10]: print(len(footable))
2
