Gnsync uploading corrups characters like "æåa" and "éá" (and multiple syncs corrupts the original file)

Hello!
Using gnsync to upload a .txt file like this:
æ å ø é á ê ä

will create a note looking like this:
æ å ø é á ê ä

when viewed in evernote in a browser. Syncing again will then corrupt the original file.

It does not effect the title of the note.
