Windows Advanced Attributes Manager

Windows Advanced Attributes Manager (WAAM) is a Windows tool that allows users to quickly preview and modify file and folder advanced attributes such as temporary, sparse, offline, hidden, read-only, system, and more. It provides a user-friendly interface for managing file system attributes efficiently.

Requirements

  • Windows:
    • Windows 10 (version 1607 or later)
    • Windows 11
    • Windows Server 2012 or later
  • .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.8.

Installation

  1. Install .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.8 (if not installed yet):

  2. Install WAAM distribution via Windows ClickOnce:

Update

The application will look for the latest release upon openning and will perform an automatic update if possible.

Usage

  1. Open the app and choose whether to modify a single file or a directory.
  2. Select the file or folder.
  3. Choose attributes to add or remove.
  4. Optionally, modify the file/folder timestamps.
  5. Apply changes and preview the updated attributes.
