change addon https://github.com/LukasGrebe/ha-addons settings to connect it to ebusd daemon instead of adapter and it's started full restart log s6-rc: info: service legacy-services: stopping
but I still do not see any new things or devices in HA but maybe it's wrong "forum" to ask about |

Hi - does this mean you've resolved all your problems or not? If not, it may be worth backtracking a little. (You've probably discovered/learnt things since your first post so apologies if this outlines stuff you already know but..) The LukasGrebe add-on is basically ebusd. Or at least, it's a 'wrapper' around ebusd such that it runs ebusd compliant with HA add-on architecture - which in a nutshell is simply a series of separate containers. So all you should need is the HA instance, the MQTT add-on and the LukasGrebe add-on. Configure ebusd in the add-on (HA > Settings > Addons > ebusd > configuration - you shouldn't need to do anything else - HA's auto-discovery should end up populating the created ebusd device with sensors from ebusd. If you don't see what you expect, it may be worth starting by querying ebusd directly using the command line. To do this you first must navigate to the terminal session of the ebusd container, not the HA core container. To do this, from a terminal session in HA, type: docker exec -it 'docker ps | grep ebusd | awk '{print $1}'' /bin/bash and then type:
(This is covered in the 'Documentation' tab of the add-on - you should definitely familiarise yourself with this). Assuming ebusd is running correctly, this will show you at the very least the configuration files which have been loaded when the daemon started - this is key to getting meaningful data in HA. Maybe try that and post the results? |

I guess the purpose of the add-on is convenience? Maybe it's easier if you're quite technical but I'm not so I like that ebusd can be compliant with the whole container architecture of HA! It meant I could concentrate on learning a bit about HA and the UI and create some helpful and useful dashboards - because I can see MQTT, HA and ebusd all in the same place it's certainly easier for me but I accept your mileage may vary! Yes, it all takes time - but I found the mushroom UI from HA allows you to build helpful and useful dashboards:
