Recognition of ROIs - no digits recognized, only noise

I just set up a watermeter for the first time and did all the installation according to the manual.
Unfortunately I don't get any readings. It seems to me, that the ROIs are not correctly taken from the image, as the slices show just noise.
Can you please help me to get readings from my images?

You alignment marks are really small. Could be depend on it?

Basically you don't have alignment marks, if I interpret the image right.

Now I found my mistake - I never made it out of setup mode!
After defining all the marks, digits, meters etc. in the setup process I clicked on the button on the lower end of the page to make a restart.

This seemingly kind of canceled the actual setup process without switching to normal mode. So all the time I was kind of in between - not in the setup process any more, but not in the normal working condition as well.
So I solved the issue by finally finishing all five steps of the setup without pressing this button. Probably would be best to remove it in setup mode and just add it in normal working mode if you want to make any additional changes.

Another thing that's quite surprising to me is that you can't read from the logs if the device is still in setup or in normal working mode, is this correct?
Nevertheless, thank you all for your suggestions! :-)
