Most Joomla extensions out there check JVERSION for supporting multiple Joomla versions. Changing it to 1.0.x as done here means each extension should be modified to be 100% compatible with the platform.

Keep the JVERSION (and JVersion class constants) as is and define another one for the platform itself.
