P.S. The package was previously called "flutter_serial_port" which conflicted with an old discontinued package by the same name: pub.dev/packages/flutter_serial_port.

P.P.S. Likewise, the respective Dart package was renamed from "dart_serial_port" to libserialport.

The author of https://pub.dev/packages/flutter_serial_port has been contacted multiple times asking if they could kindly hand over the package name. No answer was ever received, so this and the dart_serial_port backend are going to be renamed.
